Greetings

Jawaharlal Nehru College is a premier college situated at the Southern part of Kamrup district. With a glorious history opening across a life span of more than 50 years, the college has been wholly committed in the pursuit of knowledge dissemination, preservation and generation too.

Since its inception in 1964, J.N. College has fervidly and persistently followed its motto of creation of a sound mind inn a sound body.

In the illuminating words of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, one can seek inspiration from the following quote â€“ â€˜We are all born with a divine fire in us. Our effort should be to give wings to this fire and fill the world with the glow of its goodness.â€™ [Wings of Fire]

জৱাহৰলাল নেহৰু মহাবিদ্যালয় কামৰূপ জিলাৰ দক্ষিণ অংশত অৱস্থিত এখন আগশাৰীৰ মহাবিদ্যালয়। ৫০ বছৰতকৈ অধিক কালজুৰি বিস্তৃত গৌৰৱময় ইতিহাসৰ সৈতে মহাবিদ্যালয়খন জ্ঞানৰ বিতৰণ, সংৰক্ষণ আৰু সৃষ্টিৰ প্ৰচেষ্টাত সম্পূৰ্ণৰূপে নিয়োজিত হৈ আহিছে।
১৯৬৪ চনত প্ৰতিষ্ঠা হোৱাৰ পৰা জে.এন. মহাবিদ্যালয়ে “সুস্থ শৰীৰত সুস্থ মনৰ সৃষ্টি” এই মূলমন্ত্ৰ উৎসাহেৰে আৰু অৱিৰতভাৱে অনুসৰণ কৰি আহিছে।
ড° এ.পি.জে. আব্দুল কালামৰ পোহৰ বিলোৱা কথাত মানুহে তলৰ উদ্ধৃতিৰ পৰা প্ৰেৰণা লাভ কৰিব পাৰে – ‘আমি সকলোৱে নিজৰ ভিতৰত এটা দিব্য জ্যোতি লৈ জন্ম লৈছোঁ। আমাৰ প্ৰচেষ্টা হ’ব লাগে এই জ্যোতিটোক ডেউকা দিয়া আৰু ইয়াৰ শুভতাৰ দীপ্তিৰে পৃথিৱীখন ভৰাই তোলা।’
