About Course

The Integrated Teacher Education programme (ITEP) introduced by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) is a four-year undergraduate programme designed to prepare prospective teachers by integrating both academic coursework and practical teaching experiences. This programme is an innovative part of the structure given by NEP 2020.
The purpose of this ITEP course are
• To create well-trained teachers who can design developmentally appropriate learning experiences
• To prepare teachers for the Foundational, Preparatory, Middle, and Secondary stages of schools
• To ensure that teachers are grounded in Indian values, languages, and traditions
• To prepare teachers to use modern teaching technologies in the classroom
Admission
Admission to the ITEP is through the National Common Entrance Test (NCET)
Jawaharlal Nehru College, Boko is going to introduce the four-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) from the academic year 2025-26. After completing their H.S. course, the students who wish to open the window of career in teaching, may enter in the four years ITEP course qualifying in the national level admission test. After completing this course, one will completed their B.A. B.Ed. or B.Sc. B.Ed. in four years and they will be qualified for teaching profession and as well as for further higher studies.
